Version 2.6 Allow Users to Upload Entire Folders This would be different than the Initialize DMS option, which attempts to create the full site structure, including Areas, Entities, and Sections. This would simply be an extention of the Add Files feature, which would allow users to specify an entire folder of files to be added for uploading. Version 3.0 Allow Users Without Site-wide Manager Roles to Use Quick Upload The current version requires users to have a high level of permission site-wide. The functionality will be expanded so that users with these security levels only locally within specific areas of the DMS or KMS will also be able to use the Quick Upload. Provide a Means to Specify a Default Target Location for Scanned Images Currently, users must specify the target location for each scanned image. Allow users to specify a default location for each. Automatically Compress Uncompressed CaseWare Client Files Currently, users must use Tracker or manually compress CaseWare client files before uploading. Make the Columns in the Main User Interface Sortable This will provide some improved ease of use. Expand the Initialize DMS Feature to Read from the Central Store Initialize DMS currently has two options: Copy the Local File System, and Use Default DMS Orgnanization. This would add a third option, which is similar to Use Default DMS Orgnanization. However, it would gather information about the available client files from the Central Store, and so could cover the entire computer or network at once. Version 3.5 Provide the option to upload files in PDF format With CaseWare client file in particular, this may be useful. Allow users to save to the Shared File Space This will be implemented once the Shared File Space is made available. |
