Available VersionsVersion 2.5 Support Uploading PDF Versions of Client Files through the Go-Between Users will be able to select any collection of files within the Working Papers client file on the Document Manager and specify to send these as a PDF to the DMS. As with saving client files, users may create a new Engagement or save to an existing Engagement. Sort all Columns Feature This will appear in the Search and My Workspace dialogs. Currently, users can sort by any one column at a time, but not by multiple columns. This feature will provide a button to sort by all columns, first by the left-most, then by the next column to the right and so on. Add the Ability to Define Multiple Configurations This is useful where users work with multiple instances of the OpenEngagement DMS. Currently, users can only save one configuration, and if they work with multiple configurations, they must be manually entered into the dialog every time users wish to switch to another instance of the OpenEngagement DMS. Make the Dialogs Resizable This functionality is now in Working Papers and CaseView and will be equivalent in the Go-Between. Add the Ability to Search for Any Role in the My Workspace Dialog Currently, users may only search for one role at a time in this dialog, but may wish to list all Engagements where they have any role. Upcoming VersionsVersion 2.6 Add the ability to Create Areas, Entities and Sections This functionality is currently in Quick Upload and will also be added to the Go-Between. Prompt User to Save to OpenEngagement When Closing Client Files This can reduce the amount of time when the most up to date version is not available in OpenEngagement. Version 3.0 Move more functionality that is now available only through a web browser to the Go-Between This will include state transitions for engagements, and viewing and setting information such as description, discussion, keywords, and local roles. It will also include undoing DMS-level sign-outs. Provide an Advanced Search Dialog This will allow users to search on all fields, as can be done in the web browser interface. Add location-specific searches to the Go-Between The Go-Between, currently, only allows site wide searches. Users will be able to specify to search only within a certain Space, Folder, Area, Entity or Section, as they currently can through a web browser. Allow users to upload files other than Working Papers files to the DMS This would allow users to select files from their computer or network and copy or move them to the DMS without opening them in Working Papers. This would allow users to upload any file type (Word, PDF etc.) using the Go-Between, and would also allow users to upload old Working Papers files without rolling them forward. Version 3.5 Allow dialogs in the Go-Between to be 'live' Allow the dialogs to be constantly refreshing so as to always display up-to-date information. For example, if a user uses the Go-between to perform a search, and the search listing show a certain engagement as signed out by a certain user, and that user then signs it in, the search results would automatically update to display this. Due to performance and bandwidth concerns, this feature will be optional. Add the ability to upload & download individual files within a Working Papers file Firms may, for example, have Word, Excel, or CaseView files which are used in many Working Papers files. |
