OpenEngagement KMSImprove the way you work OpenEngagement KMS (Knowledge Management System) enables you to create an accessible online repository for all of your organization's critical internal process and resource information. This way, training new employees and keeping other staff current on policies and procedures is easy. The Knowledge Management System may be used for all documents maintained by a firm, other than the client documents, which would normally be stored in the DMS. The KMS allows firms to specify which staff may view, edit, delete or perform other operations on all documents. And, similar to the DMS, it tracks all user changes, allows access from any internet connection, allows for metadata, searching, storing arbitrary content types, optional email notifications, and so on. The KMS includes tools for storing images, flash video, software, Word, PDF, PowerPoint files, tutorials, glossaries and more. The KMS, starting with version 2.5, is part of the Content Management System (CMS), which also includes the Document Management System and will include the Shared File Space. To download the KMS, simply download the entire CMS. Once downloaded, firms may use either just the DMS, just the KMS, or both.
