What are the advantages of OpenEngagement's hosted solution?
OpenEngagement's hosted solution is our convenience option. Very little is required of you when you choose OpenEngagement's hosted solution, as we at OpenEngagement take on the responsibility of installing, hosting and maintaining your OpenEngagement implementation. You will not need to buy additional software or hardware. We do ask that you have reliable Internet connections to ensure that your firm will be able to access your hosted solution.

What services does OpenEngagement offer to its hosted solutions customers?
Implementation and maintenance are standard for Hosted Solutions customers. Hosted Solutions customers may, however, choose to enhance their OpenEngagement experience with additional support services, such as software customization, phone support and training.
With OpenEngagement you are free to choose the combination of services that are right for you and your firm.

Will I pay for OpenEngagement's local solution?
As a local solutions customer you may download and use OpenEngagement software free-of-charge. However, you should factor hardware, possible additional software and maintenance costs into your calculations. Click here for more details about what is required of local solutions users to implement OpenEngagement DMS. You may also want to retain OpenEngagement to provide you with support services.
Will I pay for OpenEngagement's hosted solution?
Firms using both Hosted and Local Solutions do not pay for the DMS per se. Firms will only need to pay for the services they need, such as hosting or training. This means that while the DMS will not effectively be free, it will be much cheaper than most options. Hosted solutions users pay annually for the convenience of having OpenEngagement install, host, maintain and upgrade their OpenEngagement installations. What costs will I have to factor into the local hosting solution?
As a local hosting solution user you should consider the following costs associated with "going it alone:"
+ Hardware costs (OpenEngagement requires a robust dedicated server)
+ Additional software costs (for backups, for example)
+ Time and/or monetary costs associated with installing and maintaining your implementation (for example, you may need to hire additional IT staff or dedicate some time of existing staff to maintain the application)
