1. The DMS is organized in a straightforward hierarchical manner, similar to the Windows file system.
The Navigation area on the left allows users to navigate to the documents they are interested in. At any level,
it is also possible to view a list of the documents in that portion of the DMS, including summary
information such as the period end and workflow state.
The filter above the listing makes it easy to control what is shown. It is also possible to sort by any column
and to specify which columns are shown.
2. When viewing the page for a specific engagement, it is possible to view the History of activity for the engagement. From
this page, users with sufficient permissions may perform actions such as downloading the Working Papers file, signing it out,
setting it read-only (so that
it is temporarily frozen and no user may edit it in any way), renaming, deleting or moving it.
3. It is also possible to view more detailed information about each engagement, both information tracked by OpenEngagement DMS and
information tracked by Working Papers.
4. Powerful and simple search tools are provided to make it easy to find documents.
5. The My Workspace page allows any user to quickly determine which engagements they are currently assigned
to be working on. In this example, the current user is not assigned to manage, prepare or review any documents
at present, but has been given permission to view a variety of engagements.
